The Girl Who Tried Everything

and then blogged about it…

Max Payne (2008)

Movie Description (from Rotten Tomatoes)

Rockstar Games’ double-gunned action franchise comes to the big screen thanks to director John Moore (The Omen) and Mark Wahlberg, who embodies the title character of Max Payne, a widowed cop hell-bent on delivering justice no matter what the cost as he investigates a string of killings in his city. Mila Kunis and Chris O’Donnell head up the supporting cast, with Beau Thorne adapting the screenplay for the 20th Century Fox production.

My Review

This has to be one of the worse movies I have watched in a long time.  I knew reading the reviews before seeing it that it was suppose to be bad, but Hitman (another movie based on a video game) got really bad reviews and I liked it a lot.  I am not normally bothered by movies that have some unrealistic parts to it but this one was WAY over the top.  There is a part where Max somehow knows that a guy has come up behind him, and he does a back flip type thing.  Pumps his SHOTGUN only one time and proceeds to shot it 3 times.  I don’t know much about guns, but I do know that most shot guns need to be cocked between rounds.  While he is doing this a sniper try’s to shoot at him and misses by like 5 ft while looking through his sniper scope. There are many other such parts where he out runs 50 shooters with a handgun.  Being a photographer I always notice lighting and it drove me absolutely crazy when he walked down alleys, because his shadow some how ended up on both sides of the alley.  This movie was a total waste of time.
